The summer is already gone, but it’s going to get even warmer in mid-October anyway. Why? GITEX, an annual trade show focused on electronics and modern technology, will commence on October 17 at Dubai World Trade Center in the United Arab Emirates, hosting a great deal of innovative companies in addition to celebrating many technological breakthroughs. We are set to visit the fair in order to present our flagship and cutting-edge electronic translators — with the latest Vasco Translator M3 included. The trade show will last up until October 21.

GITEX — why it’s so big
GITEX is one of the biggest and most prominent events of its kind, welcoming everyone from tech giants such as Microsoft and Red Hat, to the most important and innovative Silicon Valley startups that take the chance to present their revolutionary ideas at the fair. Each edition provides an opportunity to catch up with the latest achievements and breakthroughs in the tech industry — this year’s edition will focus on Artificial Intelligence, 5G, Cloud, Cybersecurity, Quantum computing and many more.
The attendance is also impressive. Last year’s edition, despite restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, attracted a huge number of participants — the 2020 iteration of GITEX welcomed more than 1200 private companies and startups in addition to greeting a variety of prominent government entities. What is more, ever since the first event in 1981, GITEX has witnessed many notable presentations from some of the biggest and most influential tech companies in the world — for instance, in 2009, Microsoft premiered their then-new operating system, Windows 7, with more than 150 000 people present. Other landmark creations presented during GITEX include the first firefighting drone, the first autonomous electric truck and many more.
A chance to grow one’s business
The trade show is also a great opportunity to promote one’s products and services in addition to raising brand awareness, targeting new business opportunities and growing business networks. Participants can also attend a variety of talks and conferences on how to advance one’s business and stay ahead of the competition.
The organizers also prepared a variety of workshops that concern topics such as Controlling Machines with One’s Mind, Data Science for Business Professionals and AI-Enabled Robotic Applications. Moreover, the 2021 edition of GITEX will have its own Leader’s Corner — a place where industry’s most prominent figures will speak about navigating today’s challenges with innovation.
