This year has been a very busy for all of Vasco Electronics. We’ve been to many trade shows, but it wasn’t until this fall that we had many events at once. Right after the Berlin show, our team prepared to participate in GITEX show and Japan IT Week.

Luckily, this busy time was sweetened by the fact that our Vasco Translator V4 received another prestigious award.

Check with us what award this was, and what happened at the tech shows!

Good Design Award

The Japan Institute of Design Promotion sponsors the Good Design Award, which is presented yearly to products with outstanding design. This award is considered very prestigious, and we are really proud and thankful for this honorable title. It pleases us that our latest device, Vasco Translator V4, is once again recognized for its design. As humbled as we are, we hope this is not the last award to add to our list!

We are very pleased to say that the GITEX show attracted many stakeholders. Our Vasco Translators gathered attention from individual customers to company representatives to members of government services.

Our product was very popular among visitors, many of whom might be our potential future business partners – says Paulina, Vasco Team member for the exhibition. Most people were surprised to see so many languages as in our translator, bearing in mind the limited number of language pairs available in most popular devices.

We answered many questions and tested our equipment in conditions that, no surprise, challenged our translators. Nevertheless, the reception from those interested was positive, and they wanted to know more about Vasco solutions.
Lots of people returned over the next fair days, very often accompanied by their friends or relatives, whom they wanted to show the device. It was nice to see the growing interest – Wojtek, another Vasco Team member, adds.

Moreover, it was also an opportunity for us to hear feedback from our customers and gain valuable insights on what we can improve in our products for the future.

Japan IT Week Autumn

After GITEX, we participated in the Japan IT Week, the Autumn Edition. It lasted from October 26 to October 28 and was held in Makuhari Messe — a Japanese convention center located outside Tokyo, in the Mihama-ku ward of Chiba City.

Japan IT Week consisted of 11 separate exhibitions, such as IoT & 5G Solutions Expo, Web & Digital Marketing Expo and Software & Apps Development Expo. It was a great opportunity for us to raise brand awareness in the Land of the Rising Sun and beyond — strengthening our position on the Asian market.

We first appeared in Japan in 2021 after raising 26 million JPY at the Makuake — one of the Japan’s top product launch platforms (similar to Kickstarter). We presented Vasco Translator M3, selling 970 units of this device. Soon, we will start with a Vasco Translator V4 campaign on that platform.

Conclusion

It was a really busy time, but really fruitful. Both GITEX and Japan IT Week were great opportunities to raise brand awareness on very influential markets. Good Design Award is, on the other hand, a strong social proof that we are the best electronic translator designers out there!
