One of the most prestigious awards in the field of industrial design – the Red Dot Design Award has just been awarded to us. The innovative pocket translator Vasco Translator M3 was honored in the “Product Design 2021” category. The award is a great honor for us, which means that our product proves itself to not only be highly functional, but also stylish and modern by top-class design.
The Red Dot Design Award is well renowned in the field of product design and has been continuously awarded by the Design Center of North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany since 1955. This year, over 7800 products from all over the world were submitted to the competition, which were then assessed by an independent, international jury. Applications were accepted in 51 categories – from furniture design to electronic equipment and packaging. Among the previous Red Dot winners, you can find products such as Apple’s MacBook Air (2019 award) or the Honda CBR 1000RR-R Fireblade SP motorcycle (2020 award). Vasco Translator M3 was awarded in this year’s edition of the competition in the “communication technology – translation devices” subcategory .
– For us, receiving such a prestigious award as the RedDot is confirmation that passion, dedication to excellence, and quality without compromise is worth every effort. Our innovative team of programmers along with the R&D department spent nearly two years designing and developing the Vasco Translator M3 before its final release. The design of each application was preceded by a thorough analysis of users’ needs and feedback from our customers, and were created in accordance with high programming standards and practices. Each function on the device was then carefully and methodically checked by an experienced testing team. These methods allowed us to create a stylish product with high-quality and unique software that is constantly being improved – says Maciej Góralski, the CEO of Vasco Electronics.
– The Husarska design studio, which was responsible for the design of the device, also deserves a big applause. I believe that it is very important that the objects we surround ourselves with not only make our lives easier, but also be beautiful. Thanks to this, our sense of aesthetics and functionality is shaped, which then translates into what we create ourselves. Obtaining the Red Dot confirms that we have created a technology that is both useful and beautiful – adds Maciej Góralski.
The Vasco Translator M3 pocket translator, awarded in the competition, was created to facilitate communication to people all over the world. Our device enables speech translation in over 70 languages, and additionally is equipped with a state-of-the-art photo translation function. The translator works well both for tourist and business trips, as well as for translating phone calls, conferences and business meetings. The equipment can be used even without continuous access to Wi-Fi. The built-in SIM card allows for lifetime free and unlimited internet access for translations in almost 200 countries around the world.
– Over 80 percent of humanity does not speak English, and we, like most people, strive for a world without barriers or conflicts that arise most often due to communication problems. We hope that by taking an active part in breaking these barriers, we contribute not only to worry-free travel and efficient communication in business, but also to creating a better world that is more educated and without language barriers and unnecessary conflicts. We take pride not only in the modern and stylish appearance of the M3 in the Red Dot Award competition, but also in its innovative functionality to which we paid just as much attention – summarizes Maciej Góralski, the CEO of Vasco Electronics.
