The latest model of an electronic translator manufactured by a Cracow-based company, Vasco, will make its debut in Las Vegas. Vasco Translator V4 will be presented at Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023 – the largest fair of its kind in the world. Vasco Translator V4 had its sales premiere this year in July and will be presented to an international audience in the US in January.
The world’s largest electronics and new technology trade show has been held since 1967 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The show includes the presentations of various prototypes, technological innovations, as well as the premieres of equipment from leading electronics manufacturers. The fair annually attracts several hundred thousand exhibitors and attendees from around the world. This year, organizers expect more than 2,400 exhibitors from 166 countries.
– This is the 4th time we will be presenting our devices at CES. Our presence is aimed at strengthening our position and business agenda in the US market. We also want to keep up with the latest trends and interests among the audience – says Maciej Góralski, the CEO of Vasco. – In the US, we will be showcasing our latest award-winning voice translator, Vasco Translator V4 – adds Maciej.
The product from Vasco is the only one of the electronic translators on the market to include both a 5-inch touchscreen and digital keyboard, which allows text to be entered both by voice and manually. The photo translator used in Vasco Translator V4 allows translation from newspapers, blackboards and all kinds of printed matter – just a photo is enough for the user to read it in his/her native language within seconds. This functionality supports as many as 108 languages. However, the Vasco’s device is first and foremost a simultaneous speech translator, useful when you don’t know the language or your interlocutor doesn’t. With it, you can speak 76 languages. It will help you quickly communicate in a cab, hotel, during social and business meetings, as well as in emergency situations.
A distinguishing feature of all Vasco Translators is that they are the only ones in the world to offer free connectivity, operating without limits in nearly 200 countries worldwide. It means that their use does not require Wi-Fi access or using your own data. This functionality is especially valuable outside the European Union countries, where data transmission is expensive.
– In addition to functional features, our products are characterized by attention to aesthetic qualities. Both the M3 and V4 models have been recognized in prestigious competitions – the Red Dot Award, the Good Design Award and the New York Product Design Awards – stresses the head of Vasco.
Operation of Vasco Translator V4 is easy and intuitive. You don’t need to install any apps, buy a SIM card, or configure Wi-Fi networks to make the device work. The device uses 10 translation engines. An algorithm created by Vasco development team ensures that the specific language pairs are translated with the engine that gives the best results. Using, for example, French in Canada, Spanish in South America, or English in the United States, users are assured of the best possible translation, taking into account local pronunciation.
The quality of Vasco Translator device output is controlled by a team of experts, including native speakers, who take into account phrases, idioms and colloquial expressions. They also take into account cultural aspects of the language. The work of these experts is designed to convey all the subtleties and nuances of a particular variety with the correct pronunciation, specific to the given country.
CES 2023 will be held from January 5–8, 2023.
