The CES trade show in Las Vegas is the most important international event for the consumer electronics industry. Every year it attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. This year’s edition, with 135,000 visitors from 150 countries and more than 4,300 exhibitors, turned out to be a record-breaking one.
Vasco was the only Polish manufacturer to prepare its own booth at CES, where it presented its latest device. In addition, the Krakow-based company’s electronic translators could be seen at the national exhibition, organized by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency.
– During CES, we had the pleasure of meeting with representatives of institutions such as the Polish Embassy in the US, the US Embassy in Poland, and once again the Polish Investment and Trade Agency. All these discussions revolved around one topic – how to effectively promote good Polish products in the world. – says Maciej Góralski, CEO of Vasco Electronics.
Ahead of the show, Vasco’s new device received the NY Product Design award in the Communication Technology category. This international competition, organized by International Awards Associate Inc (IAA), honors the efforts of talented designers, design teams and manufacturers from around the world, and awards products that, according to the jury, improve the quality of everyday life. In previous years, the award has been given to other translator products from a Krakow-based manufacturer: Vasco V4 and M3.
– We are very pleased that even before its release the Vasco earbuds are getting such positive reviews. We wanted to create a device that would respond to the key needs of users – it would be simple and comfortable to use, provide high quality translations, and enable multilingual conversation for several people at the same time. I think we have succeeded in creating a breakthrough product, and its reception at CES only confirmed our assumptions. – explains Tomasz Stomski, Chief Product Officer at Vasco Electronics.
The official launch of sales of the translator earbuds is scheduled for this spring in Europe, and later in the US and Asia. Final tests with customers are currently underway. Material about the new device has already appeared on American television and in the press. Technology journalists at the New York Times included it in their “Best of CES 2024” list, the 14 most innovative products on display at the show.
The Vasco E1 Translator is a product in the wearable electronics (accessories/wearable devices) category and consists of two earphones – one for each speaker. It can operate as a device supported by the Vasco Connect mobile app or in conjunction with Vasco Translator V4. The earbuds with the app support 49 languages, and in combination with Vasco Translator V4, they support 64 languages. Up to 10 earbuds can be paired with the app simultaneously, and each caller can use a different language. The quality of the translation is the responsibility of Vasco Cloud, which delivers it for the language pair selected by users, from one of 11 engines. In addition, the hands-free translation function and voiceover mode enable hands-free voice operation.
