The list of finalists of the 20th edition of the international EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition included Maciej Góralski, owner and president of Vasco Electronics, a manufacturer of electronic speech interpreters. A 15-member jury composed of Polish entrepreneurs, most of them winners of previous editions of the competition, selected entrepreneurs from 12 companies.

Finalists were selected in three categories: Manufacturing and Services, New Business and New Technologies/Innovation, where Maciej Góralski is a representative of one of the four nominated companies.

– We managed to create a company with no start-up capital and achieve a leadership position in the global speech translator market in just 10 years. With my presence in the competition, I would like to inspire Polish companies and show that Polish manufacturers can successfully design, produce and sell consumer electronics around the world – said Maciej Góralski, founder and CEO of Vasco Electronics, a finalist in the competition.

Contest organizer EY is a global market leader in professional services including audit services, tax consulting, business advisory, and strategic and transactional consulting. Worldwide, EY has more than 700 offices in 150 countries, with nearly 300,000 specialists. EY in Poland consists of nearly 4,000 specialists working in 7 offices: in Warsaw, Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Lodz, Poznan and Wroclaw.

– More than a hundred EY employees are involved in preparing and running the EY Entrepreneur of the Year program each year, meeting with company founders, owners and CEOs to prepare analyses for the independent jury – says Marek Jarocki, auditor of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year competition. – Competition for the title of winner is fierce, as this year’s contest features a number of strong candidates, hailing from a variety of industries, representing traditional branches of business and innovative ventures. A common feature of the entrepreneurs nominated in the competition is their eagerness to implement modern technologies that give them a competitive edge.

Winners in the categories of Manufacturing and Services, New Business, New Technologies/Innovation and the winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year 2022 title will be announced on March 3, 2023 at the Final Gala. The winners will represent Poland in the international finals of the World Entrepreneur of the Year organized in June 2023 in Monte Carlo.
